Problems
1. Why must the NADH produced in glycolysis be reoxidized to NAD? What is the net energy yield of ATP in glycolysis?
2. Based on the MichaelisMenten equation, and the transition state, mechanism and kinetics, and Inhibition of Enzyme Activity. Establish the equation for competitive inhibitor; noncompetitive inhibitor (rate; 1/rate) and a plot of 1/rate versus 1/[s]?
3.Reactions of the Citric Acid Cycle (The Krebs Cycle). Control of the Citric Acid Cycle. Write the equation for these reactions and explain its significance.
4.You could give an example about using the catalyst of enzyme for a chemical process (name of enzyme and chemical process; reactions; mechanism; kinectics of that process)!
