Essay 1:
A chemical engineer is a professional who works principally in the to convert basic raw materials into a variety of products, and deals with the design and operation of plants and equipment to perform such work(1). I want to be a Chemical Engineer because I like Chemistry and specially Organic Chemistry. And salary is a important factor. In USA the chemical engineers earn approximately 67,500 $ for year. When I chose Hanoi University of Mining and Geology(HUMG) and later The Advanced Program, like many other students, I chose this university in the opinion of my parents. The university is near my house and I want to be a chemical lecturer but I was introduced to my major yesterday, I have some another thought.I can to be a biochemical engineer, environmental engineer or petrochemicalengineer, etc.
When I was 14 years old, I started studying Chemistry in Junior high school. I usually achieved many high marks in Chemistry from there to High school. I have been interested in Analytic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I think I have an aptitude for chemistry. Moreover I study fairly good at math and physical. I often do everything I like very well so I think I will to be a good chemical engineer. I think Chemical Engineering is good major for me because interested in chemistry is my motivation to study and work. Working with your interest always helps you to success.
The specific aspects of a career in Chemical Engineering interest me is research chemical. I like to find out why this chemical reacts with other chemicals or why reaction change in this direction without the other direction, etc. I found really interesting in solving problem chemical, for example: problem of thermodynamics. When I decided to go to HUMG, I was worried about my decision. I wanted to go to Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) and to be a chemical teacher in High school or lecturer in University. My mother convinced me that I should choose HUMG, I still become a chemical lecturer in university and HUMG is near my house while my health isn’t good to go far. Finally I decided to go to The Advanced Program of HUMG.

Essay 1:
I was known Chemical Engineering profession by the introduction of my elder brother about it. Why did I choose this profession? I thought it was due to my mother’s decision. She was the most influential academic career as same as the choice of my future after this. Moreover, I like it. I am not talking super high as other, such as scientific research, dedication to society… But I only know a job of the best paying up to $50,000 per year, have open work environment and the most important, I want to research the fuel cheap because the current price of gasoline is too expensive here. My definition of work is enough to respond my demands. I think it is not selfish because it is a common problem of society. Chemical Engineering is good major for me. I don’t learn and experience it but I know a lot of careers in chemical engineering through the documents on network, including petrochemical engineer- my job in the future. It is quite interesting. The work of petrochemical engineering is design and operation of process applications, devices, machine in petrochemical refineries. They control the distillation line, ensure the co-operation. New oil extraction is called unprocessed crude oil. To undergo the transformation process oil including oil refining and petrochemical, the oil is became precious black gold. The petrochemical is one of major organic chemistry, focusing on turning oil into valuable product, bring numerous benefits to human. I am a person who like explore and research so I will probably do in academics in the future. Each person has one idea and different future. Each future have to experiences which difficult and tiring. But I have confidence to on the way that I chose. No one is born a genius, but only people trying to become geniuses. So I’m sure I will become a famous researcher in the future.
